As it turned out, Thomas' flight was delayed coming back from the Cape Cod Jazz Fest, so Erin & I performed as an "intimate duo" (spin...) on the Great Day show this morning (see below). We should be able to post a clip sometime after the show. :)

We get to play for the Yale Street Art's Market and the Melody Club! Yay!

The Yale Street Arts Market is a monthly Heights-area market that features Houston artists and artists from all over Texas. We are very excited to be a part of the entertaiment on Saturday, June 7, from 7 - 9 pm. More info on the venues page.

The Melody Club is a fixture amongst social dancers in Houston - a place to go to dance, learn to dance, talk about dancing, etc. The Houston Swing Dance Society has invited us to play for their Fifth Sunday Dance on Sunday, June 29, from 8:30 - 10:30 pm. More info on the venues page.

We're losing our bassist, Thomas Helton, to the Alley Theater for 10 weeks starting the last week of April! Argh! If you're curious which of Houston's other fine bass players will be joining us on any given night, check the weekly emails! (Not on the email list? Sign up! :) (Bassists will include Anthony Caceres, David Craig, and Glen Ackerman.)

New jazz jam at the King Biscuit! Every other Tuesday from 7 - 10 pm, starting Aug. 21, 2007, we'll be hosting a jazz jam. This means there will be a lot of musicans of all levels playing a lot of fantastic jazz. A highlight of this jam will be a rotating featured artist. (Aug. 21: Carol Morgan (trumpet), Sept. 4: Reggie Goebel (trombone), Sept. 18: Martin Langford (sax, flute), Oct. 4: Larry Slezak (sax). Check the calendar and/or email me and join us for a jam!

At the Daily Grind Monday Night Jam with Erin Wright!

For the next three weeks, starting tonight, I'll be singing with this super-fun jam session. The house band usually includes Erin Wright - guitar, Thomas Helton - bass, Tom Cummings - vibes, Keith Karnaky - drums, plus a bunch of professional & amateur musicians who come by and play with the group. Come on by!

It's official! The Danielle Reich Trio starts at the Omni Houston Hotel's Black Swan pub this Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007!

We'll be there every Thursday from 6-9 p.m. for (at least?) the next three months.

The Black Swan is open to the general public. There's no cover, and parking will be validated.
